Established during the Spanish regime in the Philippines, Binondo, most commonly known as Chinatown, is said to be the oldest Chinatown in the world. The Chinese New Year last February 19th revealed a very much alive tradition and active community in the country. Dragon dance, firecrackers, red lanterns and  lucky charms embellished the small streets of Binondo which, although crowded with people, were filled with positive hopes of good fortune the wooden sheep will bring this 2015.
